The BNAC Night Race Sponsored by Jan L. Jordaan Attorneys is a much-loved community event that invites runners and walkers of all fitness levels to enjoy a spirited race through the streets of Benoni, with festive water stops, music and lights along the way. It's a fun-filled evening for the whole family to enjoy.
This year, we have a prize for the school with the most online entries for the 5km as well as a prize for the school with the first 10 athletes finishing the 10km.

How do I get my race number?
Race numbers can be collected from JAN L JORDAAN INC. ATTORNEYS OFFICES on 23 & 24 OCTOBER 2022 from 09:00 to 15:00. AND ON race day from 09h00 at Benoni Northerns Sports Grounds.
Am I allowed to bring my pram and my dog along for the run/walk?
Regrettably, animals are not allowed on the race route. Any distance that you wish to run with a pram must get permission from the race organizer.
Will there be electronic timing at the BNAC Night race?
Electronic timing will be done by Chamberlains Timekeeping in partnership with FinishTime. The timing chips will be fixed to race numbers.
Can my children participate?
10km minimum age is 15 years. No age restriction for the 5km. Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Numeric age category ID tags to be worn on the back and front of the vest and clearly visible to be eligible for a prize

What are the race rules?
1. The race is run in accordance with the rules of ASA and CGA. Athletes indemnify the national, provincial, and regional bodies, sponsors and organisers of the race against all or any actions of whatsoever nature, whatever same arise out of their
participation in the race.
2. Registered athletes must be a member of a club affiliated to ASA.
3. Registered athletes must wear their club colours and 2022 license numbers must be worn (front & back).
4. Non-registered athletes participating in the 10km must wear a temporary license. 5. Temporary licenses can be purchased during the entry process at an additional cost of R30. Temporary licenses are not necessary for 5km runners.
6. Foreign athletes are not allowed to run with a ASA Provincial license and are required to purchase a temporary license or face disqualification. (Refer to IAAF Rule 4.)
7. Foreign athletes are not allowed to run in club colours unless such club exists in their country of origin or they are in possession of a refugee status permit or are naturalised must produce race number for approval.
8. Members of school teams must run in their school kit.
9. Minimum ages: 10km = 15years. No age restriction for the 5km. Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
10. Numeric age category ID tags to be worn on the back and front of vest and clearly visible to be eligible for a prize. Proof of age maybe requested on race day.
11. No ear plugged devices allowed during the race (excluding hearing aids) in contravention of IAAF Rule 144.2b that may lead to disqualification.
12. Athletes are only eligible for prizes in the race they entered.
13. Prizes will only be awarded to athletes who fill in ALL their details on their entries (online and manual). International athletes must provide a clearance letter from their country of origin to the referee in the event of winning a prize.
14. Proof of age for prize winners will be required and to be presented before prize giving. Prizes will be withheld until confirmed. Objections must be lodged within 30 minutes (before or after prize giving) in writing to the chief referee accompanied by R300.00 which is refundable if the appeal is upheld.
15. Regret no wheelchair athletes due to road surface.
16. No seconding allowed.
17. 1, 2, 3 or 4 wheel carts or prams which are mechanically or manually operated by participants can participate ONLY with special permission from the race organisers and traffic authorities.
18. No animals allowed.
